FAERIE (FAIRY):

Origin: European

The Faerie-folk, Fey or simply Fairy are nature spirits. While the aforementioned names will likely conjure an image of diminutive female figures with delicate butterfly wings frolicking and giggling in a flowered field - the Faerie-folk also have a dark side. Stealing away children in the night, spoiling a harvest and luring lost travelers into the faerie realm never to be seen again are just a few of the dark deeds attributed to their kind. They come in many shapes and sizes from beautiful to grotesque and are to be trifled with at one's own peril.

FLESH GOLEM:

Origin: Jewish

Golems are constructs made of inanimate materials and controlled to do their master's bidding. In Jewish folklore, golems are created with mud or clay. The idea of a golem made of flesh may have originated with Mary Shelley's classic horror tale, Frankenstein. Golems are thought to be dim-witted tools and the word has become synonymous with a servant or brute under another's control.
